One year ago to this very day I received the phone call that stopped my world from spinning. My aunt Jan, with whom I am very close, had suffered a massive brain hemorrhage and the likelihood that she would survive the night was very slim. I will not recount all the days to follow, but it is with great pride that I can say she is still with us today. She has before our eyes fought harder than you can imagine. Those of you who know the woman Jan (Jenga) is know that she would have never been willing to give up without a fight and fight she has. She has by her side a husband who loves her more than I can explain, sons who believe, a daughter in law who fights with her everyday, grandchildren who sing to bring her back to consciousness, a mother who weeps and hopes and begs for her, a sister who gives her heart, and many many more who send love, prayers, belief, and positive energy her way everyday. To all of you I say thank you.
Jan is someone who always loved a good card, whether it be side splitting funny or heartfelt she never missed the opportunity to tell you how much she cared. She was always the one you called for wisdom, she is the glue that keeps our family together. And today I want to say- My dearest Jenga, keep fighting! You are the love and the light of this family. I know one day soon I will hear your words again.
With all my heart, infinity and circles, I love you.

I miss you, Jenga. I love when I have dreams where you are talking and laughing – I would give anything to make this come true. I believe you are on your way — you are so strong and determined and have the most amazing support and encouragement around you always. Thinking of you today and every day. Love you.
